My first Lookbook

13/02/2026

Lookbook is a new sub-series of my blog where I present some looks and share detailed insights as inspiration.

In this edition, I present facts about specific outfits that I've put together myself from different pieces. I combine accessories, colors and fabrics to create personal looks. For each lookbook, there is a graphic followed by the components and my personal reflection.

Components of the look:

1x black hat

1x golden nacklace (Joop Looks Collection)

1x venetian mask

1x costume dress with built-in skirt (Wilbers & Wilbers)

1x tulle skirt (Mica Festival)

1x pair of black opera gloves

1x black boa

1x pair of patent leather pumps (Jason Wu)

1x flapper cigarette

My reflection:

This dress exemplifies a sophisticated fusion of historical ornamentation and contemporary stagewear. The fitted corset bodice sculpts a strikingly feminine silhouette. The rich fabric adorned with black floral baroque motifs on a burgundy base provides depth and luxurious texture. Also, side ruffles and ruffled straps inject movement and delicate charm.

Stylistically, the dress straddles Neo-Burlesque and Neo-Victorian aesthetics, drawing clear inspiration from Baroque and Rococo eras while reinterpreting them through a modern theatrical lens. Its combination of dramatic tailoring, ornamental fabric and lavish accessories make it a statement piece suited for glamorous events.
