The new learning buddy

« Salut, je suis Plumette et je t'accompagne ici avec des contenus pour apprendre le français. »
This is my new learning buddy, Plumette. I have been using Plumette for my French students for a long time and it has definitely paid off. This new learning method is designed to help foreign language learners understand language in a direct way.
When creating Plumette, I mainly focused on the learning strategies of my previous students. Some ask many questions, others write everything down and many simply listen and apply the knowledge later. There are often mixed learning types in between and that is exactly where Plumette can help. With the help of Plumette, learners can, through repetitive experiences, create their own concepts that allow them to store what they have learned more quickly.
This method is very well for younger learners who depend on guided learning. I find that it makes a significant difference in the learning process itself when there is a direct figure. Plumette's support in my students' daily learning has shown great progress. Students have been able to understand solutions better through the colourful presentation of different task areas.
The difference compared to traditional school learning = the content is recurring.
Compared to traditional text exercises such as fill-in-the-blank texts, block tasks, paraphrasing or rewriting, new formats are also being added. One format that I personally knew from school and really like is the comic, in french known as bande dessinée.

An example: The text is short, concise and clearly structured. The excerpt is quite straightforward and one does not need to think for long about what the main message is.
Exemplified:
→ remplace de cela / de ce sweat. (Note! penser à → y / penser de → en.)
Adverbe d'intensité (« Il me va super bien ! »)
Interrogation sur la quantité (« Combien je dois payer ? »)
Pronom COD "le" pour le sweat (« Je le prends ! »)
Phrase exclamative (« Quelle belle journée ! »)
My students are always surprised by how much they can infer from an excerpt. These are the moments I take away from teaching. As a tutor, I always work with different personalities and through my new teaching methods I was even able to teach less motivated students something meaningful.
A large number of similar exercises over a longer period of time have significantly improved students' learning ability. The character is familiar, the topics vary and the tasks do not become more difficult but instead build on one another.
